We are always taught that the freshest ingredients are always the best right? Wrong! What if I tell you food, if aged well is more delicious and juicy? Nestled in the heart of SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting is this casual fine dine Restaurant & Bar which cooks their food a special way. From outside it looks like some expensive high class restaurant which would deter you from going near but after being invited as part of the Resorts World Genting Food Trail, I actually stopped by and had a look at their menu. I am surprised that such high quality food is priced at an affordable if not cheaper range more so at Genting which most would say food is expensive. NO! Food here are real affordable and not much different from prices in KL.
Let's start with their drinks. They serve only high quality fresh brewed coffees so you get the best out of your drink.
Even their Yuri Matcha is imported direct from Uji, Kyoto so you get the most authentic Japanese taste
Then we have their famous smooth and creamy Macadamia Latte
For those who wants something clear, they also have tea by the pot like this Pomegranate Oolong Tea
For those who love a cocktail or two during their meals or just having a sip at their bar, they have fully professional drinks barista who would mix your glass of cocktail right in front of you.
From left to right, Butterfly(Gin, Butterfly Pea & Blueberry), Gentleman Black(Gin & Bamboo Charcoal), Northern Lights(Gin & Cucumber), and Blue Lady(Vodka, Lychee & Lemon). P.s. Ladies night happens every wed after 6.30pm for 1 to 1 cocktails.
Let's get on to the food. For starters, they serve a healthy Casear Salad with anchovies, Olive Crumble, Jamon Iberico Ham aged for 24 months and topped with cured yolk. Perfect for health savvy eaters.
Next on the starters list would be the Foie Gras, a French luxury cuisine with Apple raisins, Balsamic Chocolate drizzle, Balsamic pearls topping and Lime Jelly.
Chicken Breast slowly cooked and served with polenta, apricot, honey carrot puree, then topped with mushroom sauce and crispy chicken skin.
Then we have the pork rack served with pineapple salsa, avocado, honey carrot puree and Lemon foam
Exotic dish of escargot served on Risotto cooked in olive, parsley butter and Piquilo peppers topped with crackles
Then my personal favourite, the confit salmon seasoned with sea salt cooked the sous-vide way, served with beets puree, Squid ink couscous, chorizo, aioli, topped with Sago crackle and ikura
Their most popular dish, Australia Black Angus aged for 28 days, Tomahawk served with fries
Brown sauce on juicy cuts of aged angus
For Desserts, we started out with creme caramel served in blood orange puree topped with sesame tuile
Lastly we have the Lemon tart, Lemon Meringue served with Jackfruit Ice Cream on top of crumbles(the crumbles has in store a good surprise) with a side of lemon puree.
